Easy Processes for Better Social Media

Social media is a beast. The constant updates and ever-changing algorithms make it almost impossible to keep up, and that can be frustrating for businesses (like mine) that rely on social media for leads and sales.

Thankfully, I’ve created processes that can help.

As you may know, processes are the cogs that keep a business running, and you can absolutely make some to help with your social media presence.

Here’s what I recommend.

Content Creation

In the world of social media, consistency is the key to success. However, creating content and posting every day is a pain.

By creating a content creation process, you can ensure quality posts go out to the right platforms at the right time- be it once a week, every other week, or however often you decide.

The first step in the content creation process is the ideas. For this, I recommend ChatGPT and Canva AI.

ChatGPT

For text-based ideas, visit ChatGPT, input your topic, brand, or niche, and ask for content suggestions. ChatGPT will then provide a list of article headlines or topic ideas, and you can use them to springboard more original ideas.

You can also ask ChatGPT to create content drafts and get a starter point for articles, social media posts, emails, and more. However, you should check it to confirm that it adheres to your brand voice and message. It is AI, after all.

Canva AI

For visual content, you can use Canva’s new Magic Studio feature to create AI-generated images that meet your needs. They even have design tools that let you morph letters, create 3D objects, edit or grab specific elements, upscale images, and even create quality photos from your scanned-in art.

Canva AI can give your social media presence the eye-catching boost it needs to succeed. It can also make your content creation a hundred times easier, which is the point.

Content Calendar

The next step is to create a content calendar. That way, you can schedule things ahead of time and not post on the fly. Plus, if you have a bunch of different platforms, you can use your calendar to make sure they all get included, keep track of popular posting times, and keep everything organized.

There are several ways to create an efficient content calendar. If you’re not afraid to post things yourself, you can use Google Sheets or a regular calendar app to keep track of ideas and deadlines. You can also use ClickUp’s Social Media Calendar template to keep it secure within your project management app.

However, if you want something more automated, you can use a program like Metricool to organize and publish your content on demand.

Engagement

Engagement is one of the most important parts of a social media presence. It helps you build a community, rank higher in the algorithm, and connect with real people who want your business.

To better enhance your engagement, check out DollarEighty.

DollarEighty is a program that makes social media engagement a breeze. You can search for up to ten different hashtags about your business or ideal audience, and DollarEighty will show you the most recent posts containing those hashtags. Then, it’s just a matter of commenting.

I suggest doing 10-15 daily hashtag searches, commenting on videos, and responding to stories. Then, you can seriously boost your engagement and get your business on the map.

(Fun Fact: Dollar Eighty is an engagement strategy by itself. Check it out if you need more inspiration.)

Content Repurposing

Finally, there’s nothing wrong with turning your old content into something new. For example, you could turn a blog into a Facebook post, a podcast into a blog post, a Facebook post into a video, etc.

The possibilities are endless.

Plus, the average lifespan of a piece of content on the internet is 4-6 months, so- if you time it right- they’ll never know.

Final Thoughts

Social media is a beast, but you don’t have to let it overwhelm you. With these processes, you can save the time, money, and effort to keep up with trending fads. Plus, you can easily keep boosting your engagement and churning out content ideas- and that sounds like a Win-Win to me.
